Azo dyes represent the largest class of synthetic dyes and their breakdown products are toxic and/or mutagenic to life. This paper describes the synthesis of somenovel azo dyes and evaluation for their resistance against the growth of fungi organisms, antihelmentic properties, and dyeing abilities on cotton fabrics. The products were characterized by UV-Vis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectral studies and elemental analysis.
