The present study reveals to determine the patterns of orthostatic blood pressure A simple, fast, and precise reverse phase, gradient HPLC method was developed for the separation and quantification of metformin and pioglitazone in pharmaceutical dosage form. The quantification was carried out using Zorbax XDB 4.6X150mm,5µm column and mobile phase comprised of Disodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous, acetonitrile and Triethylamine in proportion of ratio 660:340:1 and adjusted pH to 7.10 with Orthophosphoric acid and degassed under sonication. The flow rate was 1.0 ml/min and the effluent was monitored at 225 nm. The retention time of metformin and pioglitazone were 3.2±0.1 and 7.3±0.1 min respectively. The method was validated in terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, and specificity, limit of detection and limit of quantitation. Linearity of metformin and pioglitazone were in the range of 8.5 to170.0µg/ml and 6.0-90µg/ml respectively. The percentage recoveries of both the drugs were 99.4% and 99.6% for metformin and pioglitazone respectively from the tablet formulation. The proposed method is suitable for simultaneous determination of metformin and pioglitazone in pharmaceutical dosage form
